The program focuses on six pillars of healthy living that focus on both internal and external nourishment, sleep, living at naturally as possible, avoiding excessive stress and a better understanding between emotions and inflammatory foods. The authors, Deepak Chopra, is a leader in the field of integrative medicine and Kimberly Snyder is a nutritionist. The authors offer tools, food and practical tips that help readers to achieve their highest potential of beauty and health.
They authors talk about foods that support the metabolism and how one can promote circulation so that the body is absorbing nutrients that will help with beauty. There are also sections on skin care, Ayurvedic medicine, balancing your nervous system to help reduce the signs of again and how positive emotional health can also ad in beauty. I found it interesting that the authors also included DIY at home skin care remedies, as I try to keep my skin and hair products as natural as possible and also enjoy DIY. I also thought they addressed a wide range of beauty topics from acne to dry skin to anti-aging. And I liked that the included lots of natural options since I am big on avoiding as many chemicals in skin and beauty products as possible. I personally have not read many book, if any, on this topic so I thought it was a very interesting and helpful book on the topic.
